Hum-a-MOS
Mycotoxin Binder
A concentrated source of mannose oligosaccharides derived from the cell wall of yeast
Sacchaormyces cerevisiae and the natural humates, humic and fulvic acids,
for use in animal feeds as a mycotoxin binder.
Features & Benefits
Humate + MOS Technology
• Contains a synergistic blend of the mycotoxin binding elements
• Both the mannose oligosaccharides and the humates are effective bonders for a wide range of mycotoxins
• The humate portion contains a very precise ratio of humic acid to fulvic acid providing maximum efficacy
• Reduces the detrimental effects of mycotoxins on the performance of the animals
• Very small particle size provides a large surface area for maximum binding capacity
• Highly effective in controlling both toxins produced by Aspergillus and Fusaria molds
• Stable during pelleting
• Effective at low inclusion rates
• Safe to add to all feeds with no residue or withdrawal concerns
• All ingredients are GRAS certified (Generally Recognized As Safe)
• Manufactured in the United States of America
directions For Use
Add at the rate of 500 – 2000 grams per ton of animal feed
*The amount of molds and mycotoxins in the feed should be considered when determining the usage rate
Packaging
25 kg bags
Species
Poultry, Swine, Ruminant, Equestrian
*May not be available in all markets due to regulatory restrictions
**All ingredients are Generally Recognized As Safe by the United States Food and Drug Administration. There are no adverse effect, interactions or contraindications with the product. No withdrawal time is required.
hscas + mos + humates
Two in vitro trials were done to evaluate the mycotoxin binding capacity of Hum-A-Mos against aflatoxin, zearalenone, and fumonison mycotoxins present in animal feeds.
Procedure
- Hum-A-Mos was added to a commercial broiler feed at both 0.05 % and 0.10 % inclusion rates
- The trial was conducted with a mycotoxin level of 500 ppb
- The trial was conducted over a PH range of 4.0 – 6.5 to simulate the increase in PH in the intestinal tract of the animal
- Results of the trials are found below:
Table 1: Evaluation of Hum-A-Flow on Binding Capacity
Results & Discussion
• Examination of the results from both trials shows that Hum-a-Mos was very effective at binding all three mycotoxins
• For both aflatoxin and zearlenone mycotoxins, the 0.05% rate proved very effective
• Increasing the rate to 0.10% resulted in improvements in binding capacity of
approximately 7-8%
• The results for fumonisin toxin in both trials show that the 0.10% usage rate was substantially better for the ability to bind the toxin
• These results clearly demonstrate that Hum-a-Mos is a very effective broad
spectrum toxin binder
