• Allow earlier weaning to increase the number of farrowings per year
• Healthier piglets at weaning improves performance during the growing and finishing stages
• Contains a high level of easily digested and available fat from vegetable sources
• Significant amount of simple sugars which are available as an energy source almost immediately to the piglet
• High level of Omega-3 fatty acids which aid in stimulation of the immune system and circulatory function

excellent source of nutrition for piglets
A trial was conducted to compare the ability of Piglet-Boost’s efficacy on growth rate and survivability of newborn piglets until weaning versus a Medium Chain Triglyceride (MCT) product
Procedure
- A total of 20 litters of newborn piglets were randomly assigned at birth to two treatment groups
- One group of ten (10) litters of piglets were administered a Medium Chain Triglyceride (MCT) product on day one (1) and again on day four (4) of age
- The other group of ten (10) litters of piglets were given Piglet-Boost on day one (1) and again on day four (4) of age
- The MCT product was administered at the rate of 4 ml per piglet at each time while Piglet-Boost was administered at the rate of 2 ml per piglet at each time
- The piglets were weaned at 25 days of age
Results & Discussion
• These results show that Piglet Boost is a very effective product for assisting in getting newborn piglets off to a good start
• When compared to the MCT product, the piglets given Piglet-Boost had a significantly faster daily gain of 8 grams more per day
• When compared to the MCT product, the piglets given Piglet-Boost were significantly heavier at weaning – more than 250 grams heavier
• The improved body weight at weaning will be important in allowing the piglets to adjust to the stress of weaning for improved performance during the starter, growing, and finishing periods
• These results show Piglet-Boost to be a very effective product for use with
newborn piglets and to be superior to the use of a Medium Chain Triglyceride
(MCT) product

increases performance in newborn piglets
A trial was conducted to compare the ability of Piglet-Boost’s efficacy on growth rate and livability of newborn piglets until weaning versus a Medium Chain Triglyceride (MCT) product
Procedure
- A total of 280 newborn piglets were randomly assigned to three (3) treatment groups at birth
- One group of piglets served as the control group
- A second group of piglets were given a Medium Chain Triglyceride (MCT) product at day one (1) and day four (4) of age
- The third group of piglets were administered Piglet Boost at day one (1) and day four (4) of age
- The MCT product was given at the rate of 4 ml/piglet at both administrations
- Piglet Boost was given at the rate of 2 ml/piglet at both administrations
- The piglets were weaned at approximately 21 days of age
Table 1: Evaluation of Piglet-Boost on Growth Rate and Survivability of Newborn Piglets
Results & Discussion
• Even though the piglets given Piglet-Boost were much smaller at birth and were weaned one day earlier they had the best average daily gain and would have been heavier than the control group if they had not been one day younger when weaned
• When compared with the piglets given the MCT product, the performance obtained from Piglet-Boost was much better – the daily gain was 10% better with survivability being as good even though the piglets given the Piglet-Boost were smaller at birth and weaned a day earlier
• These results again demonstrate the excellent benefits obtained from Piglet-Boost in aiding newborn piglets get a fast start, which is very important to survival and
subsequent growth during the reminder of the production cycle
